6.4.1 Cryptographic equipment. Any equipment, regardless of classification, that provides security to
electronic information by converting the information to a form unintelligible to unauthorized interceptors.
For authorized recipients, this equipment reconverts the information to its original form.
6.4.2 Topography. Topography is a detailed representation of the ground relief of an area.

6.6 International standardization agreements. Certain provisions of this specification (see 3.2.2.1.1)
are the subject of international standard agreement NATO STANAG 2113. When amendment, revision or
cancellation of this specification is proposed that will modify the international agreement concerned, the
preparing activity will take appropriate action through international standardization channels, including
departmental standardization offices, to change the agreement or make the appropriate accommodations.
6.7 Changes from previous issue. Marginal notations are not used in this revision to identify
changes with respect to the previous issue due to the extensiveness of the changes.
