e. Voltage Checks. The requirements and procedures for "stray voltage" or "no voltage"
checks shall be specified.
f. Weapon Loading/Down-Loading. The weapon loads cleared for carriage by the aircraft
shall be listed and cross-referenced to the supplemental checklists containing the detailed weapon
loading and down-loading procedures. The requirements and procedures to make host nation's
weapons compatible with owner nation aircraft shall also be specified, and included in the aircraft
cross-servicing checklist.
g. Pre-Flight Arming Procedures. The procedures for arming the aircraft immediately prior
to flight shall be specified.
h. Failed or Unexpended Munitions. The procedures and specific safety precautions for
handling munitions (missiles, bombs, rockets, gun ammunition and chaff and flare cartridges
which either failed to release or were not expended shall be described and included in a
supplemental checklist. Any mandatory reporting requirements or entries in the aircraft
maintenance records form shall be specified.
3.2.5.2.5 Chapter 5, locally manufactured equipment. This chapter shall contain a list and
product drawings of all items which may have to be manufactured locally by the host nation to
enable cross-servicing to be performed. The drawings shall contain sufficient information
regarding materials as to enable the selection of suitable alternatives.
3.2.5.2.6 Glossary. Explanation of technical terms and abbreviations used throughout the
cross-servicing manual shall be contained in a glossary immediately following Chapter 5.
3.2.5.2.7 Index. An alphabetical index by subject matter shall be the last item in the
cross-servicing manual.
4. VERIFICATION
4.1 Verification. Verification shall be conducted as prescribed in the contract.
5. PACKAGING
5.1 Packaging. For acquisition purposes, the packaging requirements shall be as specified in
the contract or order (see 6.2). When the actual packaging of material is to be performed by DoD
personnel, these personnel need to contact the responsible packaging activity to ascertain requisite
packaging requirements. Packaging requirements are maintained by the Inventory Control Point's
packaging activity within the Military Department or Defense Agency, or within the Military
Department's Systems Command. Packaging data retrieval is available from the managing
