b. Packaged equipment must be warehoused in a covered structure which will provide protection
from climatic elements.
c. Units which have been subjected to prior use must meet all criteria prior to being placed
in extended storage.
d. Items received from depot or in base supply assets, meeting the packaging requirements speciied
in READY STORAGE above, shall be considered as being in extended storage.
3.6 Special technical manuals development. Equipment operation and maintenance procedures shall be
documented in accordance with the preceding instructions. However, certain equipment characteristics require
unique operation and maintenance procedures, unusual support requirements, and other considerations that
require additional speciic information be furnished, as applicable, in the form of special manuals.
specialized WP manuals. When speciied (see 6.2i.) these special manuals shall be developed in accordance
with the WP/SWP concept previously determined. As a minimum, WP/SWP shall be arranged as follows:
a. Front Matter (see 3.4.1.1).
b. Alphabetical Index (WP 001 00) (see 3.4.3.1).
c. Foreword (WP 002 00) (see 3.4.3.2).
d. Master List of Special Tools, Test Equipment and Consumables (WP 003 00) (see 3.4.3.3).
e. Technical WP/SWPs (meeting the requirements of 3.4.3.4) shall include the specialized or unique
technical procedures as described for the following various special manuals:
1. Aircraft Engine Testing and Trending Procedures Manual (see Appendix B).
2. Aircraft Power Package (Engine Installation Hardware Coniguration) Testing Procedures
Manual (Appendix C).
3. Static Firing of Missile Motors Manual (see Appendix D).
4. System Peculiar Corrosion Control Manual (see Appendix E).
5. Nondestructive Inspection (NDI) Manual (see Appendix F).
6. Aircraft Structural Integrity Program (ASIP) Manual (see Appendix G).
7. Automated Test Equipment (ATE) Operator Test Procedures Manual (see Appendix H).
8. Specialized Storage and Maintenance Procedures; AUR Munitions and Associated Support
Equipment, Conventional Components, and CMBR Agents Manual (see Appendix I).
9. Parachute Packing Procedures Manual (see Appendix J).
10. Operators Instructions (Hand-Held Flight Computers) Manual (see Appendix K).
11. Installation-Engineering Facility (Ground C-E Equipment) Manual (see Appendix L).
VERIFICATION.

4.1 Veriication requirements. When the technical data produced according to this speciication is offered
for acceptance, all tests, reviews, and veriications required by the PM to determine that it conforms to
the requirements in section 3 of the speciication, shall be performed as speciied in the solicitation or
contract. The Air Force Technical Order Policy and Procedures (AF TOPP) team, AFMC/A4UE, provides the
speciic requirements for veriication of technical data developed and delivered through this speciication,
as well as guidance for including these requirements in the solicitation or contract (see TO 00-5-3, AF
Technical Order Life Cycle Management, 2.2.2).
4.2 Compliance. Technical Manuals (TMs) shall meet all requirements of section 3 of this speciication
(see 6.2) and the appropriate DTD appendix, as required by the PM. The requirements set forth in this
speciication shall become a part of the contractor s overall inspection system or quality program. The
absence of any requirements in this speciication shall not relieve the contractor of the responsibility of
ensuring that all products or supplies, submitted to the government for acceptance, comply with all
