9. Immediately prior to launch.
3.7.1 Front matter. The front matter shall be in accordance with the requirements of MIL-STD-38784,
except no list of illustrations or list of tables shall be used for screen presentation.
3.7.2 Titles and headings. Procedures titles and primary paragraphs shall be limited to those listed in
3.7.2.1 and 3.7.2.2. If a speciic paragraph is not applicab le to a particular aircraft/munition, the paragraph
title shall be included, followed by "Not applicable." See igure 7.
3.7.2.1 Chapter 1 - Prepositioning and munition(s) preparation. Under this chapter, the following primary
paragraphs shall be covered.
3.7.2.1.1 Scope. The scope paragraph shall be in accordance with 3.3.3.2.1 and the following:
3.7.2.1.1.1 Authorizations/restrictions. The authorizations/restrictions paragraph(s) shall contain a list of all
authorizations and restrictions that apply to integrated combat turnaround operations. A brief explanation of
actions to be accomplished by the turnaround crew shall precede the list of authorizations and restrictions.
The authorizations and restrictions shall contain the following statement: "A summary of operations
authorized by the System Safety Engineering Analysis (SSEA) is included in this manual."
3.7.2.1.2 General safety requirements. This primary paragraph shall contain safety procedures related to
aircraft servicing, munitions loaded aircraft, munitions loading/unloading, and munitions. Procedures shall be
prefaced by a brief explanation of actions to be accomplished. The following statements shall be included:
a. "Fireighting protection equipment shall be as required by TO 00-25-172."
b. "Refueling equipment shall be as required by TO 00-25-172."
3.7.2.1.3 Emergency procedures. Print presentation only: The emergency procedure page(s) shall be marked
in accordance with the requirements of MIL-STD-38784. All applicable emergency procedures shall be
included. When more than one type of munition is included, and withdrawal distances differ, emergency
procedures shall be provided for each type of munition (see igure 2 and 3) for page oriented examples.
3.7.2.1.4 SE. This primary paragraph shall list the SE and test equipment that may be required to perform
an integrated combat turnaround (excluding ireighting and refueling equipment as required by the
SSEA). Substitutes are not authorized.
3.7.2.1.5 Prepositioning/inspection. This primary paragraph shall include the speciic requirements for items
which need to be positioned and inspected. All steps shall be singular.
3.7.2.1.6 Munition preparation. This primary paragraph shall include munition, missile, preloaded
MER/TER/BRU, and preloaded launcher inspections for serviceability and safety, prior to aircraft loading.
All steps shall be singular.
3.7.2.2 Chapter 2 - Servicing/loading. Under this chapter, the following primary paragraphs shall be
covered. These paragraphs shall be sequenced to be compatible with the SSEA (see 6.16).
3.7.2.2.1 Scope. The scope paragraph shall be in accordance with 3.3.3.2.1.
