Implement those procedures required to safe the aircraft.
3.8.2.4.2 Preunloading. Preunloading shall be in accordance with 3.3.3.4.2. In addition, the following
"NOTE" shall be included for aircraft procedures identiied by the acquiring activity (see 6.2).

Implement those procedures required to prepare the aircraft for unloading
munitions from aircraft.
3.8.2.4.3 Unloading. This paragraph shall include only those steps peculiar to munitions. All steps
shall be singular. The following "NOTE" shall be included for aircraft procedures identiied by the
acquiring activity (see 6.2).

the aircraft.
3.8.2.4.4 Fuze and sensor. Fuze and sensor shall be in accordance with 3.6.3.4.4.
3.9 Loading procedures checklists (CL-2 and subsequent, except CL-100) . The types of checklists
to be prepared, shall be those speciied by the acquiring activity, and for nuclear weapons loading
checklists, OL-NS/EN (see 6.2). Any procedural step that pertains only to a speciic munition/weapon,
aircraft coniguration, or accessory, shall be preixed with applicability notations for identiication (see
3.1.5). Torque values, preset dimensions, oriice identiiers, etc., included in the loading procedures chapter
shall be placed in the checklist. Nuclear weapons loading procedures checklists for bomber aircraft shall
stand alone (i.e., shall not be a condensed version of the parent manual procedures). The checklists shall
contain complete brieing, loading, and unloading procedures in checklist format, oriented for use by the
load team chief, to monitor loading.
3.9.1 Checklist types. The following types of checklists may be required:
a. Single - For one type of munition/weapon.
b. Integrated - For two or more different types of munitions/weapons carried concurrently on the
same aircraft without regard to whether such munitions/weapons are nuclear or nonnuclear.
c. Family group - For a group of nonnuclear munitions which have similar safety, functional,
and loading characteristics.
3.9.2 Arrangement. The general requirements of MIL-PRF-5096 apply, print presentation only: Arrangement
shall be head to foot. The contractor shall use the DTD in Appendix G, if electronic delivery of the
checklist(s) is required (see 6.2). Each checklist shall contain the following:
a. Front matter
b. Load crew brieing
c. Emergency procedures (except nuclear weapons loading procedures checklists for bomber aircraft)
d. Loading procedures
e. Unloading procedures
3.9.2.1 Front matter. The front matter shall be in accordance with the requirements of MIL-PRF- 5096.
3.9.2.1.1 Foreword. The foreword shall be prepared in accordance with the requirements of MILPRF- 5096,
and shall provide a brief explanation for the purpose of the checklist. Submittal and routing instructions for
technical manual improvement reports shall be included, and shall reference TO 00-5-1 as the authority for
