assigned modiication manager (see TO 00-5-15) shall be identiied as the POC. Companion TCTOs shall
include POC information of the main TCTOs.
3.5.12 Authority. The authentication requirements shall be included at the close of the TCTO. The
names of the current Air Force Chief of Staff and Commander, Air Force Materiel Command, shall
be used (see Figure 3).
3.5.12.1 Responsible organization. Each TCTO and/or supplement shall include a statement indicating the
name, organization and ofice symbol, DSN telephone number, and e-mail address of the POC responsible
for its preparation (see Figure 3). TCTOs prepared by contractors shall include the following in parentheses
immediately following the name of the contractor: the word "for" and the information, i.e., symbol of
the organization, DSN telephone number and extension, for the POC authorizing the preparation of the
publication. Names of individuals within the organization shall not be included. TCTOs prepared by
contractors shall include, beneath their names, the applicable contract number(s).
3.5.13 Additional requirements.
3.5.13.1 Other Inspection TCTO statements. All TCTOs directing an inspection shall indicate whether or
not previous inspections satisfy the one-time requirement and also indicate whether or not the requirement is
being included in the system or equipment inspection manual. This shall especially apply to inspections
involving chemical reaction or when serviceability is determined by a negative result.
3.6 Supplements. Supplements shall bear the heading "SUPPLEMENT TO BASIC TECHNICAL ORDER."
Appendix B provides information for obtaining the DTD for electronic delivery of TCTO supplements.
3.6.1 Rescission. Supplements shall carry the same rescission date as the basic TCTO to which they
apply unless additional work is required by the supplement, or it explicitly changes the TCTO rescission
date. In addition, a determination shall be made and approved by the CCB that an extension of the
rescission date is warranted to accomplish the additional work. In this instance, a new rescission date shall
be established applying to both the supplement and basic TCTO.
3.6.2 Additional work. Supplements which require additional work shall contain a statement regarding
additional man-hours and personnel required, and shall include appropriate requirements for form entry.
3.6.3 Additional work with limited application. When a requirement for additional work is developed and
added kit support is also needed, but the applicability is peculiar only to one serial number, one block of
serial numbers or has partial inventory application, approval shall be obtained from the acquiring activity
prior to development of a new TCTO (see 6.2w.).
3.6.4 Supplement indicator of safety marking. The indicator of safety marking (see 3.5.2.7) shall not appear
on supplements. Supplements carry the same level of urgency as the basic TCTO.
3.6.5 Supplement title. The title of each TCTO supplement shall be the same title as the basic TCTO.
3.6.6 Supplement note. When it is necessary to supplement a TCTO, the following note shall be used:
